Trap Cleaning & Mainenance Services

At Robert V. Jensen, Inc., we take great pride in providing our customers with on-going support from day one, and always responding in a timely manner to any and all calls for assistance. Thus, when you purchase a retrofit for one of your fleet’s vehicles from us, our commitment to you is to provide a trap cleaning and maintenance package that best fits your company’s needs. Regular scheduled trap cleaning is required to maintain your warranty, ARB compliance status, and the performance of the retrofit. Part of the compliance process is CARB’s record keeping for the retrofit, which includes:

• Date of installation
• Vehicle mileage at time of installation
  
• Retrofit part number
  
• Serial number of retrofit
  
• Date of filter cleaning
  
• Mileage at each filter cleaning

Trap Cleaning Options Package Or Individual Service

Emission services can be purchased individually, or with our Full Service or Silver Package. Options as follows:

FULL SERVICE PACKAGE
Whether you have a 1 vehicle, or a 100 or more vehicle shop, our Full Service Package is our best service offering. Your vehicle can be serviced at either our facility, or your facility. These services include trap cleaning and backpressure monitoring (red light) services. The Full Service Package is an annual agreement that also gives you an option of removing the trap, us cleaning the centercore, and you reinstalling the centercore and trap to the vehicle, or having our technician do it. Your choice! The Full Service Package covers 2 Pulse Cleanings, 1 Regen (Baking) Cleaning, and 1 backpressure monitoring service (red light) per year. Full Service package customers are guaranteed red light monitoring next day service if the call is made before 12:00PM the day of the order. SILVER SERVICE PACKAGE
Our Silver Service Package is a cost-effective annual service contract that covers Our Facility-Your Facility Pulse cleanings 2 times per year and 1 backpreasure monitoring service (red light) per year.(Pricing for Silver Service package to be quoted by a Representative)

INDIVIDUAL SERVICES

• Backpressure Monitor/Red Light Service
  One of our highly trained Technicians can assess the nature of the warning light occurring at either Our Facility-Your Facility. The technician will perform the diagnosis and give you a cost to resolve the problem if warranted. (Pricing for the individual Red Light Service to be quoted by a Representative)
  
  
• Pulse System Centercore Cleaning Service
  A diesel particulate filter has many areas in it that capture particulate emissions. One of the features of the filter is that it will regenerate during usage and eliminate much of the captured particulate. Insufficient regeneration may require filter cleaning. Normally the Pulse system can be used for 1st stage cleaning of the filter. Since the cleaning usually only takes 15 minutes, it is a time-effective means of cleaning the centercore. Ash is removed by forcing a large volume of air through the filter. • Thermal Regenerator Service
  If the filter becomes overloaded or contaminated with hydrocarbons (including diesel fuel or lube oil) the filter must be baked in a specially designed high temperature cleaning unit known as the Thermal Regenerator, or Regen. This process takes up to seven hours to clean the filter. Donaldson recommends a final air pulse cleaning prior to re -installation. OWNER PURCHASE PROGRAM
Some of our customers, especially those that are located many miles from our facility in Fresno, and who also have a number of retrofits on their vehicles, have purchased a diagnostic tool to monitor backpressure and reset red lights, as well as a Pulse System for the shorter 15 minute cleaning. If this be the case the diagnostic tool and Pulse will be sufficient for many of the situations that occur with the traps, but to saisfy the requirements of Donaldson's warranty the Regen will need to be done every 12 months or 60,000 miles. Our Regen system is also highly recommended if you have used the Pulse system twice and the red warning light has stayed on for a period of time after the 2nd Pulse.
